Why Marbella

A destination where the paperwork is the easy part

Marbella has one of the longest-established British communities in Spain, and moves here tend to involve better furniture, more of it, and properties where the last two hundred metres are the hardest part of the journey.

Almost everything we deliver here sits inside a gated urbanization or a private community, from San Pedro and Nueva Andalucía up to the hillside developments behind the coast. That is a logistics question, not a driving one.

How the move works

UK to Marbella, step by step

After a quick survey — in person or over video — you get a fixed, itemised quote. Then it runs like this.

01

We collect and pack in the UK

Our crew loads at your door anywhere in the UK. Add full professional packing — worth it for artwork, glass and anything fitted.

02

We cross and clear customs

Ferry or Eurotunnel, through France, across at Irún and south through Madrid to the coast. Your duty-relief pack and valued inventory are prepared before we load.

03

We deliver into your community

We clear vehicle access with the community administrator in advance, then unload and reassemble where you want it, shuttling in where the barrier or the ramp will not take a full lorry.

What moving into Marbella actually involves

Gated communities are the defining constraint. Most have a security barrier with a height restriction, a registration requirement for any vehicle entering, and internal roads laid out for cars rather than lorries. Several of the larger urbanizaciones also restrict removal vehicles to specific hours. We contact the administrator or the security office before the vehicle leaves, not on arrival — turning a loaded lorry away at a barrier costs a day.

The second constraint is the hillside. The developments above the A-7 climb on switchbacks with tight hairpins and low retaining walls, and some private driveways have a gradient and turning circle that rules out anything full-size. Where that is the case we transfer to a small van at the bottom. Villas on the flat between the coast road and the beach are usually direct access, and the Golden Mile is generally fine as long as the delivery is not scheduled into peak season traffic.

What it costs

How much does a removal to Marbella from the UK cost?

A removal from the UK to Marbella typically costs between £850 and £5,400 depending on the volume you are moving, and takes 4-8 days door to door. A shared part-load is the cheapest way to move a smaller home; a dedicated vehicle is faster and suits a full household.

  • Every figure includes loading, the crossing, fuel, tolls and delivery into the room.
  • Access affects the price: a parking permit, a lift booking or an external furniture lift are priced at survey, not added on the day.
  • Transfer of Residence relief means no duty or VAT on your own household goods when you are moving your main home, and we prepare the paperwork with you.

The table above is a guide. Your exact price comes from a free survey.

The cost of a move to Marbella varies with more than the number of rooms. What shapes your price:

  • The size of your home — a studio, a two-bed flat and a four-bed house are very different volumes to move.
  • Access at both ends — stairs, lifts, narrow streets or a long carry all affect the job.
  • Packing — full professional packing, fragile items only, or you pack yourself.
  • Dedicated lorry or shared part-load — the space and timing your move needs.
  • Storage & specialist items — pianos, artwork, or storage either side of the Channel.

Marbella move FAQs

Questions people ask us about this route

How much does a removal from the UK to Marbella cost?
Typically between £850 for a small shared part-load and £5,400 for a large four-bed household. The exact figure depends on volume, access at both ends and whether you take a dedicated vehicle or share one. A free survey gives you one fixed, itemised price.
How long does a move from the UK to Marbella take?
Six to eight days door to door on our scheduled Andalusian service.
My urbanization restricts large vehicles. Can you still deliver?
Yes. We confirm the rules with the community administrator before we set off and, where the barrier or internal roads will not take a full lorry, transfer the load to a smaller van for the final leg.
Do you handle high-value furniture and artwork?
Yes. Full professional packing is worth taking on this route — it is a long drive, and glass, artwork and marble need proper crating rather than blankets.
What paperwork does Spain require for my belongings?
Your NIE, a padrón certificate, proof of previous UK residence and a valued inventory. We prepare the inventory with you.
