Why Alicante

The most established British corridor in Spain

The Costa Blanca has the deepest British presence anywhere in Spain, and Alicante is its hinge — the airport, the hospitals, the consular services and the road network that feeds the whole coast from Denia down to Torrevieja.

Because the corridor is so well travelled, we run it on a regular schedule rather than as a one-off long haul. That is what makes a part-load viable: you are sharing a vehicle that was going anyway, not paying for an empty return.

How the move works

UK to Alicante, step by step

After a quick survey — in person or over video — you get a fixed, itemised quote. Then it runs like this.

01

We collect and pack in the UK

Our crew loads at your door anywhere in the UK. Add full professional packing, or we drop materials in advance if you would rather pack yourself.

02

We cross and clear customs

Ferry or Eurotunnel, south through France, over at La Jonquera and down the coast. We prepare the Spanish duty-relief pack and valued inventory before we load.

03

We deliver to your door

Unloaded and reassembled. On seafront blocks we book the service lift and, where needed, an external furniture lift.

What moving into Alicante actually involves

Two very different kinds of address sit within a few miles of each other here. The seafront and city blocks — Postiguet, the Explanada, Albufereta — are tower buildings with a single service lift shared by every resident. Those lifts get booked, and in July and August the surrounding streets are effectively unloadable without a slot arranged in advance. We move seafront addresses early in the day for that reason.

Inland it is urbanizaciones: San Juan, Mutxamiel, Busot and the hillside developments behind the city. Access there is about gradient and turning circles rather than lifts — narrow ramps, tight gate posts and the occasional community rule about vehicle size. We check with the community administrator before the vehicle sets off rather than arriving and negotiating at the barrier.

What it costs

How much does a removal to Alicante from the UK cost?

A removal from the UK to Alicante typically costs between £850 and £5,400 depending on the volume you are moving, and takes 4-8 days door to door. A shared part-load is the cheapest way to move a smaller home; a dedicated vehicle is faster and suits a full household.

  • Every figure includes loading, the crossing, fuel, tolls and delivery into the room.
  • Access affects the price: a parking permit, a lift booking or an external furniture lift are priced at survey, not added on the day.
  • Transfer of Residence relief means no duty or VAT on your own household goods when you are moving your main home, and we prepare the paperwork with you.

The table above is a guide. Your exact price comes from a free survey.

The cost of a move to Alicante varies with more than the number of rooms. What shapes your price:

  • The size of your home — a studio, a two-bed flat and a four-bed house are very different volumes to move.
  • Access at both ends — stairs, lifts, narrow streets or a long carry all affect the job.
  • Packing — full professional packing, fragile items only, or you pack yourself.
  • Dedicated lorry or shared part-load — the space and timing your move needs.
  • Storage & specialist items — pianos, artwork, or storage either side of the Channel.

Alicante move FAQs

Questions people ask us about this route

How much does a removal from the UK to Alicante cost?
Typically between £850 for a small shared part-load and £5,400 for a large four-bed household. The exact figure depends on volume, access at both ends and whether you take a dedicated vehicle or share one. A free survey gives you one fixed, itemised price.
How long does a move from the UK to Alicante take?
Five to seven days door to door. The Costa Blanca is one of our regular scheduled runs, so departures are frequent.
Is a part load cheaper than a full removal?
Considerably, if you are moving less than a full household. You pay for the space you use on a vehicle already scheduled to travel, rather than for a dedicated lorry.
Can you deliver to a seafront apartment block?
Yes. We book the building service lift in advance and schedule the unload early in the day, which matters a great deal in high summer when the surrounding streets fill up.
What do I need for Spanish customs?
Duty relief on household goods requires your NIE, a padrón certificate, proof of your previous UK address and a valued inventory. We prepare the inventory and guide you through the rest.
