Man and van removals to Geneva
We run part-load and dedicated removals from London and the UK to Geneva, with Swiss customs Form 18.44 prepared as part of every move. Prices from £800 for a small load, 3–7 days door to door.
Switzerland is not in the EU — what that means for your move
Switzerland uses its own customs process rather than the EU Transfer of Residence system. When moving your main household to Switzerland, you apply for duty relief using Swiss customs Form 18.44 (Franchise de droits). The form needs to be completed and submitted before the goods arrive — not on the day of delivery. The goods must have been owned and used for at least six months, and you need to be registered or registering as a Swiss resident.
Geneva specifically sits in a Canton with its own local tax rules, and many expats arriving for work are employed by international organisations (UN, ICRC, WHO and others), which carry additional customs exemptions. Tell us your situation when you book and we’ll advise on the right paperwork.
What it costs and how long it takes
UK to Geneva runs 3–7 days door to door. Typical prices: £800–£1,400 for a part-load (5–15m³), £1,800–£3,000 for a one to two-bed home, £3,200–£5,200 for a larger house. All figures include the Channel crossing and Swiss border clearance. Goods-in-transit insurance is included as standard.
We quote after a survey of your actual volume, so the price we agree is fixed — not an estimate that adjusts on loading day.
Part-load or dedicated vehicle
If you’re moving a studio or a few rooms rather than a full house, a part-load shares the vehicle with other moves heading the same direction and costs considerably less. Delivery takes a little longer as the vehicle completes its other drops. For a full household or time-critical move, a dedicated vehicle travels direct. We run both options to Geneva.
