UK storage makes sense when your French property isn’t ready yet but you have to vacate your UK home on a fixed date — the end of a tenancy, a sale completion, or a divorce settlement. We collect from your UK property and store in a secure UK facility until your French delivery date is confirmed.

Short-term UK storage (one to four weeks) is the most common scenario and is priced per week. Long-term (one month and beyond) is priced monthly. We can move directly from UK storage to France when your date is ready, so there’s no separate collection charge.

France-side storage works when you want your belongings in the country but can’t take delivery at the property yet — renovation work in progress, a notaire delay on the acte de vente, or a new build that’s running late. We deliver to a French storage facility near your destination and make the final delivery when the property is ready.

This approach is common for buyers of rural renovation projects who are living between the UK and France during the works.

Everything that goes into storage is itemised on the inventory before it leaves your sight. Items stored in our UK facility are covered by goods-in-transit insurance during collection and delivery, and storage insurance during the period they’re in the facility. If you have a specific high-value item you’re concerned about, tell us when you book and we’ll advise on whether additional cover makes sense.

One practical note: don’t store food, plants, or anything that can attract damp. These are the most common causes of storage damage and are straightforward to avoid.
