Removals to Nice from the UK
Nice is our southernmost regular French destination — about 1,350km from London. The Côte d’Azur is a popular relocation for British households, and the route comes with its own access and logistics considerations.
Transit time and route
London to Nice runs approximately 1,350km. Dedicated vehicle transit is 4–6 days, part-load 6–9 days. The route goes via the Channel, south through Lyon on the A7 (the Autoroute du Soleil), then east on the A8 along the coast to Nice. July and August are peak season on the A8 — we factor in delays on the Riviera approach roads when planning summer deliveries.
Access in Nice
Vieux-Nice — the old town between the port and the Promenade des Anglais — has lanes wide enough for a pedestrian and their shopping but not much else. Deliveries in the old town require a transfer van for the final leg and, usually, a crew carrying from the nearest accessible point. Nice operates a pedestrianised zone that expands significantly in summer.
The residential areas north of the city (Cimîez, Mont Boron, Fabron) and along the Promenade are more accessible for a full lorry but parking restrictions still apply. We plan the delivery access during the survey.
Prices
Nice sits at the top end of our France pricing. Typical costs: £950–£1,600 part-load, £1,500–£2,200 studio or one-bed, £2,100–£3,100 two-bed, £2,900–£4,000 three-bed, £3,700–£4,500 four-bed or larger. Fixed after survey. See the Nice guide or call 020 3150 2668.
